Others seem to have similar issues from doing some google searches, but I havent seen any specific fixes. My old HTPC worked fine with this keyboard plugged into the same receiver and projector.Īny help would be greatly appreciated. Video is connected via HDMI to an Onkyo TX-NR818 receiver which goes to an Optoma HD33 projector. The NUC box has 4gb of Crucial DDR3 1600mhz memory, and a Western Digital Blue 300gb platter harddrive. The keyboard works perfectly when plugged into my acer and HP laptops from across the house. I've tried all the usb ports, tried different orientations, tried using the keyboard right beside the receiver etc. This leaves me to think that the issue is with the usb "pill" receiver and it's interaction with the NUC board. It also acts the same within OpenElec XBMC/Linux.

I've updated to all latest drivers within windows, however this problem exists even in the VisualBios interface, before windows even loads. I tried changing the bios "legacy usb" setting both on and off. It acts like the keyboard is too far away from the USB receiver, or as if the batteries are going dead. There is a huge lag when using the mouse pad, and key presses are laggy or don't work at all. But apparently on the K400+, it is sending a modified escape code to Raspbian, which trigger a mysterious action.I received my. The page above assumes it is just interpreted locally by the Logitech firmware. I could not get out of it, and had to power down / back up again.Īny idea of what FN+ESC does with Raspbian? I did a bunch of web searches but could find no clues. Which is what FN+ESC does on some laptops. It almost looked like it went into some kind of Suspend mode. Window system vanished, stopped feeding display signal, monitor turned off. HOWEVER, when I tried that FN+ESC combination here with my K400+, the Raspberry Pi 4 turned off the display entirely. I do understand Solaar can control this also, but cool if the keyboard hardware itself can do it with a simple FN+ESC. When switched, they just send the raw F1 to F10 escape codes. In the default mode they are sending the media center commands. Here's a page, which claims that most Logitech keyboards, in addition to the FN+LeftClick toggling of the tap-to-click feature - also support FN+ESC to toggle the operation of the F1 thru F10 keys. I had come across the Solaar before, have not tried it yet. The feel on the UltraX is fantastic and they seem to last forever (I hope). Dam# Logitech for dropping the UltraX.I was able to score 2 more from eBay but they are really scarce, especially in the USB variant. Otherwise, it seems to be a nice little keyboard. I am not used to the touchpad for pointing.spoiled forever by a Logitech UltraX keyboard (out of print) and a M325 wireless mouse. I thought I had a keyboard with no way to connect to the RPi.much like a stone in the backyard. The thing that fooled me the worst was the stupid packaging arrangement: The development team designed a nice holder for the USB dongle in the battery compartment lid which is where you would logically look for such a device but the packaging engineering team just had to come up with something different and hid the USB dongle in the lid of the cardboard box, under a flap of opaque mylar tape that concealed it very well. I had some minor mix-up with the 105 key selection and reverted to the 101 and was ok. The K400 worked out of the box on US English keyboard setting from Raspbian. Have to unplug and reseat the dongle at every reboot

I only read the first and part of the second page so far.įully functional keyboard (still need to test the fn keys) Really wish someone would write a driver for it and merge it in, maybe that would fix the issue I'm having. This was fixed by generating and selecting the utf-8 keymap in raspi-config. I had the problems that others have experienced (special keys resulting in the wrong symbols).

I've only tried it while experiencing the kodi exit bug and attempting to switch to a console and keep forgetting to try it outside of kodi. I'm not sure if the F1-12 keys work or not. Infact, I found this thread while searching for a fix - any tips would be appreciated!!Ģ. Everytime I reboot the pi, I have to unplug the dongle and plug it back in. I have noticed 1 and possibly 2 problems:ġ. Plugged it in to my new Pi2 and it worked instantly. That said, the right click button has become very stubborn. It is a very durable keyboard, we've knocked it off the couch or tables more than we could count.

Seriously, just changed the batteries for the first time last week.
